You’re missing the people who need what you sell.

It finds the conversations on X and LinkedIn where you’re wanted, and drafts your way in.

I’m Bengin. Here’s how Ryan, who never asked for a tool, signed up for IntentCable.

Ryan Doyle

Building a CRM for small businesses

… The MVP is live, and I’m looking for my first users to test it and give honest feedback.

Bengin · 5 hours later · IntentCable's draft, edited

Small business owners rarely say they need a CRM to your face. What they do say in public is that a lead got lost in a spreadsheet or they forgot to follow up or their current solution being wrong.

Is that something you're catching already, Ryan? …

Ryan Doyle · Next day

Yeah, that actually makes a lot of sense. I’ve been asking people about CRMs directly, but looking for the problems first is probably way better. …

Bengin · 1 hour later

… I've got a free trial on IntentCable, you might wanna put Pipewell's URL in there and it'll help you join these conversations where people are already complaining as I said :)

Ryan Doyle · Next day

Yeah, Thank you. I’ll give IntentCable a try and see what I can find

Bengin · 30 minutes later

Saw your signup. I'll send you a connection request, let me know if you have any questions whatsoever

A real conversation, names changed.

You know you should be getting in front of people. You barely do it.

The usual advice of cold outreach means stepping into a stranger's day uninvited. So you put it off.

With IntentCable, you're joining a conversation where you and your product are actively wanted.

No. 2

Give it your domain. It brings you the people to talk to.

  1. 1

It reads your site and works out who needs what you sell.

  2. 2

It keeps searching X and LinkedIn for people describing that need in their own words.

  3. 3

Each post comes with your way into the conversation drafted. You edit it and post it yourself.

  4. 4

When they answer, it drafts your next message too.

I sell IntentCable with IntentCable.

Each of these started with a post IntentCable found for itself. Nobody in them asked for a tool. Real conversations, names changed.

Ethan never asked for a tool. He asked where first users come from.

Ethan Cole

Founder, building in public

founders who got past their first 100 users... where did they actually come from?

i keep getting a different answer from everyone i ask. …

IntentCable drafted the opening. I added what worked for me and asked one question.

Bengin · 2 hours later · IntentCable's draft, edited

Everyone gives a different answer because it depends on where the people who need your thing happen to post.

For my what worked great was answering to the people that were already talking about problems my products solve.

Have you tried looking for those exact posts, Ethan?

He had looked already, and decided his customers don't post.

Ethan Cole · 50 minutes later

i have, on x mostly... problem is the people with my problem don't usually post about it, they just live with their 80 tabs open. …

I didn't argue. Letting it look costs him nothing.

Bengin · 30 minutes later

Drop Tabloom's domain into intentcable. Either it also does find those on X for you or you might be right that these people might rather just live in that 80 tab mess haha

But yeah, there's a free trial and you can find out without any risk …

He signed up that same day.

Ethan Cole · 2 hours later

thanks.. will give it a try.

Sam Porter

Building a tool for authors and writers

Hi founders 👋

How did you get your first 100 users?

Tell us your real experience story. 👇

Bengin · 7 hours later

The first 100 usually come from conversations where someone was already asking for what I built.

Have you gone looking for those posts too, Sam? Or not yet?

Sam Porter · 1 hour later

It depends on the audience, for example B2B tools can grow fast on X because the founders are here, since I target authors and writers it's a different and there is no single method that works for all projects.

Bengin · Next day

Maybe. But authors and writers also post on X and LinkedIn about drafts not moving, publishing costs, or which tools to use.

Have you seen any of those posts yet? …

Sam Porter · 2 hours later

I think I need to try 'intentcable', maybe I'll do it this weekend 😉

Chris Dalton

Building an app to beat digital distractions

… How do you get clients?

Bengin · 3 hours later

I think one of the easiest ways that works even without an audience is getting into conversations with your ICP where they already are and speak.

How are you finding posts to reply to for Quietdock right now?

Chris Dalton · 5 hours later

No idea

Bengin · 1 hour later

That's the bit I work on with IntentCable. While you build your product, it keeps searching X and LinkedIn for people looking for exactly what you sell and helps you join the conversation.

Want to take it for a test drive for Quietdock?

Chris Dalton · Next day

yes

Northvale Security

Company page

More assets. More vulnerabilities. More alerts. More risk.

Security gets harder every quarter. Northvale breaks the cycle. …

The early-access waitlist is open. We onboard in waves: join with your work email and we'll email you when your wave opens.

Bengin · 2 hours later

Waitlist only fills if people already know the tool exists.

How are you planning to find the security teams who need this, before the waves open?

Northvale Security · 30 minutes later

Fair point: a waitlist captures interest, it doesn't create it. We reach security teams three ways: daily threat-intel posts, free tools they can use today …, and direct outreach to teams facing NIS2 and DORA deadlines, run by us and by partners working with us. What's worked for you?

Bengin · Next day

What's worked best for me is finding people already describing the problem in their own words on here and joining the conversation to learn more.

That's actually why I built IntentCable, it finds those posts for you and drafts the first reply. Happy to let you run it on Northvale free for a couple days so you see what it finds around NIS2 and DORA. Does that sound interesting?

Northvale Security · Next day

Thanks, Bengin appreciate the offer. Finding teams already discussing these challenges sounds worth exploring. Could you send a couple of examples of conversations IntentCable finds around NIS2 and DORA, along with the trial details, to …? We’d want to review and write our replies ourselves to keep each conversation personal and useful.

I sell my SEO tool with it too.

These came in for Rank-Hub. Real conversations, names changed.

Daniel never asked for a tool. He mentioned figuring out SEO on his own, and that was enough for me.

Daniel Fraser

Building a car comparison site for Canada

It started as a small Toyota Motor Corporation and Honda comparison tool. …

Along the way, I … connected my domain, and explored SEO, indexing and Google Search Console.

It’s still early. …

I asked where he stood with it. No pitch, no link.

Bengin · 3 hours later · IntentCable's draft, edited

The SEO and Search Console part you mentioned, is that something you've got a handle on or more of a to-do that keeps sliding?

I ask because I build in that space and the content side is usually how these tools either get found and build authority.

Then he said in his own words what was missing: the content side.

Daniel Fraser · 2 hours later

A bit of both. I’ve got the basics in place, like page titles, descriptions and a sitemap, but I’m still getting familiar with Search Console. … I haven’t worked out the content side fully yet, so that’s something I still need to build on.

That is exactly what Rank-Hub does, so naming it was just answering him.

Bengin · 40 minutes later · IntentCable's draft, edited

That's fair.

Since the content side is where I actually build, the thing I made is Rank-Hub, it works out what content and fixes will get a comparison site like yours found and gives you the exact steps.

Happy to show you what it'd suggest for DriveMatch if you want?

A stranger asked me to message him.

Daniel Fraser · Next day

Sure, happy to connect! Feel free to DM me.

I’m looking for someone who can help with:

• A professional website structure and build • Bringing several services together under one clear parent brand • SEO strategy and implementation • Keyword research and on-page SEO • Making sure people can actually find the services once the website looks lovely …

Bonus points if you can explain SEO without making my eyes glaze over. 💗

Bengin · 9 hours later

… SEO works differently, not only by difficulty but also by the way people work on SEO. It's not something you can ever be done with …

And then for SEO you want to first think about - how competitive your niche is - what businesses are currently ranking for where you want to show up - what kind of goals you have (what do you do with the traffic) - how much is each "traffic" worth to you (spoiler, not all traffic is equal)

… If that resonates with you, Fiona, let's connect, I might have some ideas and perspectives for you!
